Eagle Pass, Texas history you never learned. This border town was founded on an illegal smuggler trail between San Antonio and Mexico and the 1830s. When Mexico Band trade after the Texas Revolution merchants created a secret route across the Rio Grande. That contraband Crossing became Fort Duncan, then became a city.
