Prognostication is one of the more challenging things to do in medicine because we don’t have the crystal ball to know for sure! I do however think it’s important if we have a “gut sense” of prognosis, then sharing it in brackets of time is one of the better things to do. It leaves room for error. But also- I don’t really think there’s a “right” way to put the brackets.
