Die Aufnahmen zeigen Linz in den Jahren nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. Zwischen 1944 und 1945 wurde die Hauptstadt Oberösterreichs durch mehrere Fliegerangriffe der Alliierten schwer zerstört. Der Linzer Kulturfilm-Produzent Max Zehenthofer schuf mit dieser Dokumentation der Kriegszerstörungen und der ersten Wiederaufbauprojekte ein eindrucksvolles Filmdokument zur Linzer Zeitgeschichte.
