Poor thing crawled up, laid her nest (a process that takes an hour or more) and got disoriented. She drug herself all the way through a tern colony to a sound side mudflat, then turned back and crawled back through the tern colony towards ocean. She was pretty exhausted and hot. We ended up pouring some water on her to help revive her and get her back to the water. In the video she is finally able to make it back to the ocean and with enough water under her to float, she rapidly takes off throug
