How I Prepare Milk for Baby Squirrels I had to study and search a lot to understand how to give them the best chance at life. I needed a tiny bottle with a nipple small enough for their mouths, so I used an empty eye drops bottle—it worked perfectly! I used puppy milk replacer (since squirrels are mammals too), boiled and cooled water, and mixed 1 spoon of milk powder with 3 spoons of water.
