Last night the crews of Newton Abbot fire station took the rare opportunity to go out and enjoy the festive period with our annual Christmas meal. This year we chose to go to the Social Bar & Kitchen by the clock tower within the town. A day after the railway shed fire at Forde Close, and the crews have all returned home safely here is a video clip showing the ferocity of the fire. This was filmed from a safe location outside of a window on the side near the railway line. As you can see our crews faced a fully developed fire that traveled through various voids unhindered.
