I’m reviewing an MRI of a lumbar L4–5 facet cyst and explaining how this patient traveled to New York City to avoid a fusion. Using endoscopic spine surgery, we approached the cyst from the opposite side and underneath the facet joint—removing it while preserving the joint and spinal stability, so no fusion was needed.
