A roughly 500-foot-long, tree-covered island was spotted on Williston Reservoir in northern British Columbia before disappearing from satellite images and resurfacing nearly 20 miles away. Williston is British Columbia’s largest freshwater reservoir, located about 185 miles north of Prince George.
