Sherwin Creek Campground is located in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains within 2 miles of the full-service community of Mammoth Lakes, California. Popular among anglers, hikers, off-road vehicle enthusiasts and photographers, the campground is near some of the most spectacular wilderness and outdoor recreation areas in the Sierras.

Located in a grove of Jeffrey Pine Trees within 2 miles of the town of Mammoth Lakes. 85 Campsites. $30.00 per night per site. Active bear area, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36"). Take US 395 to State Highway 203. Head west to Mammoth Lakes, left at first traffic light in town onto Old Mammoth Road.

Sherwin Creek Campground has 87 single-family (mixed-used) campsites and is located in the Mammoth Lakes area. Campsites are large and can accommodate rigs from 27 to 60 feet (most in the 35 to 40 range). The campground is organized into 3 loops among mature Jeffrey pines and adjacent to the creek. Campsites 1 to 15 are ‘walk-to’ tent-only.

Set in a grove of aspens and Jeffrey pines along the shores of lower Sherwin Creek, this well-shaded campground offers 70 standard unpaved sites and 15 walk-in sites. Its easy access to the motocross track and roads makes it a popular base for OHV enthusiasts, especially during the Mammoth Motocross event in late June.

This 85-site campground is popular with dog owners, fishers, hikers and backpackers. It is also the closest campground to a large motocross event every June. Located at 7,600 feet elevation, campers can walk to local fishing spots and trails or mountain bike easily to and from town.

Reservations can be made by visiting recreation.gov or by calling (877) 444-6777. From Highway 395, turn west on Highway 203 towards Mammoth Lakes. Continue on Highway 203 for 1.8 miles to reach Meridian Boulevard. Turn left on Meridian Boulevard. Continue on Meridian Boulevard for 1.3 miles to reach Old Mammoth Road. Turn left on Old Mammoth Road.
