At least 279 people are still missing even as about 80,000 people have been evacuated and hundreds are still stranded in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
The region is hit by some of the worst floods in years, with millions affected in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
In Indonesia, rescuers are struggling to reach the worst-affected areas in Sumatra, after floods and landslides swept through multiple provinces for days. At least 174 people have been killed, with thousands displaced and dozens still missing.
The government has not declared the floods and landslides in Sumatra as national disasters. BNPB reveals the reasons.
