It is the second reported death at a Tahoe-area resort last weekend. On Saturday, Adelyn Grimes, 7, of Reno died at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. The little girl's death was ruled an accident caused by a falling boulder injuring her neck and chest, according to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 21-year-old skier died from his injuries suffered at Giants Ridge Ski Resort in Biwabik. The Gilbert Police Department said officers were notified on Saturday of an injured skier on the hillside.

A 25-year-old snowboarder from Corona, California, died Saturday at Kirkwood Mountain Resort near Lake Tahoe, authorities said. The Alpine County Sheriff and Coroner’s office identified the man as Roman Lacayo and said he died from a major head injury sustained in an accident on the mountain.
