FARGO — Scheels will soon open a second store in Oklahoma. The Fargo-based and employee-owned chain of sporting good stores plans to open a store in Oklahoma City in the spring of 2028. The Oklahoma City store will be the brand's second location in Oklahoma, joining a store that opened in Tulsa last year.

The Oklahoma City Counci is set to decide whether to provide incentives of up to $8 million to bring a Scheels store to anchor a new retail center.
