Fans of the Grateful Dead are pouring into San Francisco for three days of concerts and festivities marking the 60th anniversary of the scruffy jam band that came to embody a city where people wore flowers in their hair and made love,

The stage is set in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Deadheads are expected to flock to the city this weekend to enjoy three days of Dead & Company concerts in celebration of the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary. This weekend's celebration kicks off three weekends of music festivals and shows at the park.

The walk up to the park was an event unto itself. RVs decked out in Dead murals lined the Panhandle, and a few blocks later JFK Boulevard was the site of nearly 100 vendor booths, selling everything from cheeky Ts mashing up the Steal Your Face logo with iconography of Southern country store chain Buc-ee's,
