The ESPN Original Series on the Chiefs has a release date: Aug. 14. Episodes of a six-part series entitled “The Kingdom” will air starting at 8 p.m. Central Time on Aug. 14 on ESPN+ and Disney+. The first two episodes will also be shown on ESPN that day.
In his introductory remarks to the media at training camp on Sunday, July 20, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced that two veterans and one rookie would begin training camp on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list.
“The Chiefs went 15-2 last year, and one of those losses came in Week 18. They lost Joe Thuney and Tershawn Wharton this offseason, but their core on both sides of the ball is mostly intact. They could also drop a few of the toss-up games on their schedule, but double-digit wins feels like a lock for them.”
According to a teaser released on Monday afternoon, a six-part series titled "The Kingdom" is set to air on ESPN this summer. The production will document the team's quest for a Super Bowl three-peat this past season—as well as "the legacy of the franchise, and the unforgettable characters who built its modern-day football dynasty."
