In the close-knit Los Angeles suburb of Altadena, where rows of neat bungalows once nestled in the shadow of the San Gabriel mountains, smoldering ruins and the skeletal frames of burnt out cars now lie.

A new California wildfire has erupted near Runyon Canyon Park in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. This comes as much of Southern California enters its third day of a critical fire weather threat. FOX Weather's Robert Ray describes the current situation in Pacific Palisades as multiple wildfires continue to burn.

The stretch of Sunset Boulevard near the fire is lined with well-known venues and landmarks, including the TCL Chinese Theatre and Hollywood Bowl.
