Giancarlo Stanton singled in his second at-bat as he made his season debut for the Yankees against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night after missing New York’s first 70 games because of inflammation in the tendons of both elbows.

Stanton is set to be activated off the injured list ahead of tonight’s game.

The veteran slugger went 3-for-11 with a double and four RBI in three rehab games with Double-A Somerset, and he's back with the big club Sunday for a workout at Yankee Stadium.
