Dutch court jails Eritrean human trafficker for 20 years
On Tuesday, a Dutch court sentenced an Eritrean man to 20 years in prison for running a human trafficking network in which migrants were tortured, and their families extorted.
Chelmsford Prison says the process around freeing inmates has been tightened up in the wake of the accidental release of a man jailed for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The latest tranche of releases has seen the total population in Scotland's overcrowded jails reduce by just 68 so far.
