The portable console, the successor to Nintendo's popular Switch, has yet to be announced. But if the leaked renders are the real deal, they show that the so-called Switch 2 will be very similar in design to the original, with some tweaks to the Joy-Con controllers and an additional USB-C port on the top of the system.

While the future and logistics behind the rumored Switch 2 remain hazy, we can at least look to previous Nintendo practices to see what the company has done in the past and get an idea of how long people will have to enjoy their games on Switch.
