Less than a year later, Life.Church, founder of the world’s most popular Bible app, on Sunday will debut a new $10.4 million church building on the city’s growing northeast side.

(RNS) — Bible verses on topics like hope and peace were among the most searched for on the YouVersion Bible app in 2023.

According to app development manager Josh Rudegeair, Ascension consulted with over 1,300 devoted Bible in a Year listeners during the app’s design process.

The Bible App, launched by Edmond, Oklahoma megachurch Life.Church in 2008, offers more than 2,000 versions of the Bible in more than 1,350 languages.

The nonprofit entity, which is operated by Oklahoma-based multi-site megachurch Life.Church, said in comments to The Christian Post that the application had 798,000 downloads on Jan. 5.
