John Dickerson is leaving CBS News at the end of the year as Bari Weiss takes over as the new editor-in-chief. Dickerson has been with the network since 2009 and, in January of this year, began co-anchoring the CBS Evening News alongside Maurice DuBois.
John Dickerson, who took over as co-anchor of CBS' evening news broadcast in January following the departure of Norah O'Donnell, is leaving the network at the end of the year. Dickerson shared the news in an Instagram post on Monday, Oct. 27.
The move comes after Bari Weiss started as editor in chief of CBS News earlier this month. The decision to leave was his own.
