President Donald Trump’s administration is asking the Supreme Court to allow enforcement of a ban on transgender people in the military, while legal challenges proceed.

A federal judge blocked the reversal of President Biden’s policy, saying that the government provided no evidence that trans people undermined armed forces.

Lower courts had blocked the policy, saying it was not supported by evidence and violated equal protection principles.
