Authorities in the Dominican Republic have confiscated the passport of the man who is the last person known to have been with missing University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki, according to a source close to the investigation.

PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic (AP) — The search for a U.S. college student who went missing in the Dominican Republic intensified on Monday, one day after a man questioned by authorities visited the beach where she was last seen and spoke with officials.

Surveillance footage appears to show the missing college student and person of interest at the same bar hours before she disappeared.

Missing college student Sudiksha Konaki was last seen with her friends and a “person of interest” at a hotel bar before she disappeared in the Dominican Republic earlier this month.

Sudiksha Konanki and Joshua Riibe both appear to bend over into some grass while reveling with friends on the morning that she went missing.
