Authorities in Scotland have canceled trains and closed parks as a rare summer storm brings destructive winds to northern Britain.

An amber storm warning, covering much of mainland Scotland and the western islands, is now in force until 22:00.

Storm Floris disruption is expected to continue on Tuesday as the clear up continues after the amber weather alert. Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said it was continuing to restore supplies after about 50,
