Authorities have identified an 85-year-old school bus driver who was fatally struck by another bus outside of Maple Shade High School in Burlington County Tuesday afternoon.

Maple Shade police say Jack Hohwald, 85, was outside his bus on the high school’s grounds when he was fatally struck Tuesday. School officials canceled classes on Wednesday following the deadly crash.

MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (WPVI) -- A school bus driver died after he was struck by another bus on Tuesday afternoon in Maple Shade, New Jersey. It happened around 3:30 p.m. in a bus garage at Maple Shade High School. Police identified the victim as 85-year-old Jack Hohwald, a Maple Shade resident.
