U.S. President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin did not reach a deal to end Russia’s war in Ukraine after talks in Alaska on Friday, as the two leaders offered scant details on what was discussed but heaped praise on one another.

Vladimir Putin has been “rewarded” for his invasion of Ukraine with Donald Trump’s summit in Alaska, leading experts have warned. The summit, which took place at a military base in Anchorage in the US’s northernmost state, was aimed at kick-starting a peace process to end the war in Ukraine.
