Comcast topped Wall Street's fourth-quarter estimates on Thursday as revenue from the company's broadband business gave it a boost despite losing customers.

Comcast Corp. shares fell as much as 9.9% to their lowest in more than two years after the company reported fourth-quarter revenue and profit that beat Wall Street’s expectations but subscriber losses in its broadband unit raised concerns among investors.

Comcast's board has raised the cable giant's quarterly dividend by 6.5%, to 33 cents from 31 cents, and approved a new $15 billion share-repurchase program. The new payout, equal to $1.32 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.53% based on Wednesday's closing price of $37.36, up from 3.32%.
