Light rain was falling in Washington by 6:30 p.m., with a light breeze cutting through some of the humidity of the day. Some spectators held up umbrellas. There was no sign of lightning, which could prompt delays for safety reasons.

Despite some rain, hundreds of participants enjoyed the Brooklyn Pride parade on Saturday, June 14 in Park Slope. The day started with a 5K run in Prospect Park, along with a family-friendly street festival on 5th Avenue, between Union and 9th Streets.

Despite the rain this weekend, the Island came alive with a variety of events geared towards acknowledging and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. And that was not more vividly on display for  the Fourth annual Pride Parade in Oak Bluffs.

Saturday’s Parade the Circle and Circle Village events in University Circle were postponed due to rain, with organizers citing safety concerns and promising a rescheduled date to come.

NEW ORLEANS — NOLA PrideFest posted on Instagram that they’re waiting out the rain as showers move through the area on Saturday. While PrideFest and the NOLA Pride Parade were scheduled to begin this evening, organizers said they’re monitoring the weather and waiting out the rain.

Meteorologists have recommended Hoosiers attending outdoors events Saturday to bring an umbrella and be prepared in case of severe weather.
