President Donald Trump ’s pick to head the Bureau of Labor Statistics, who previously proposed scrapping monthly jobs reports, is now backing off that idea, according to a report.

The Heritage Foundation’s chief economist, EJ Antoni, who President Donald Trump recently appointed to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, told Fox Business ahead of his nomination that the bureau should do away with its monthly job reports.

Staff at the Bureau of Labor Statistics called President Donald Trump's firing of its commissioner “depressing” and “CRAZY!!”
