A preliminary finding into last month’s Air India plane crash has suggested the aircraft’s fuel control switches were turned off, starving the engines of fuel and causing a loss of engine thrust shortly after takeoff.

The Air India flight crash report said that both engines lost thrust shortly after takeoff because the aircraft’s fuel control switches had been turned off.

India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation bureau has released a preliminary report on the Air India flight that crashed in June, showing the fuel to the engines was cut off.
