Bonet, president of the Spring Lake Park Team community group, led a 15-year neighborhood push to put the lake back in Spring Lake, a 140-year-old park in South Omaha.

"We need people, volunteers, somebody, to help us to clean the yard, to remove all that wood and all the mud," said Rosa Serrano, who lives in the mobile home park.
