Dear Joyce: This recipe is from the Hershey's cocoa box. I made the recipe back in the 1950s and my mother made it before that. Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a 4-quart saucepan. Gradually add milk.

In a saucepan, boil butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, oats and coconut (Stir it in quickly!) Drop on wax paper to harden. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
