Ludvig Aberg made a splash almost immediately on Saturday during the third round of the Genesis Invitational. After a pair of pars to open his third round, the Texas Tech product only needed one shot, and some impressive backspin, on the Par 3 third hole to find the cup.

"Yeah, hit a little cut pitching wedge up in the wind and landed behind it and came back. It was a really cool moment. I've never made a hole-in-one in tournament play before, so it was a first for sure.

Aberg was the 36-hole leader at Torrey Pines a few weeks ago during the Farmers Insurance Open, but fell down the leaderboard after coming down with an illness. He's back to full health and showing out. The ace moved him to 6 under for the week and three back of leader Davis Thompson.
