Christopher Nolan's next film after Oppenheimer was revealed last month, and while we have no details on what it is about, we do have some fresh casting news to expand on following the initial announcement of Matt Damon being the first to top the cast list.

Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o is set to star in Christopher Nolan ‘s next event film at Universal. She joins previously announced cast members Matt Damon , Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya. The film will have an Imax release on July 17, 2026. The date falls in line with a number of Nolan films that have had similar release dates in the past.

Lupita Nyong’o is the latest boldfaced name to join the buzzy ensemble of Christopher Nolan ‘s next film. Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway are among the A-listers who are expected to star in the untitled movie, which is otherwise shrouded in secrecy. It will release in theaters on July 17, 2026.
