On Thursday, the NHL revealed the Edmonton Oilers’ quarter-century team. The team is pretty split on the stars from today’s roster and players from earlier in the millennium.
It’s important to remember he was getting a lot of power play time in Anaheim, which helped get him over 20 goals last season. He’s not getting those minutes in Edmonton, but has still managed to register seven goals. He’s not the perfect player, but I like having him in the roster in a bottom six role.
Bouchard notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Canucks. Bouchard helped out on a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins tally in the second period. The 25-year-old Bouchard was held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests,

It did not go well. The Oilers only managed to get one shot on net in two opportunities, while the Detroit Red Wings scored on both of theirs. Just like that, a 2-0 first-period lead turned into a 3-2 shootout loss.
Thursday was one of those days when the Oilers didn't have their best stuff, could have won but didn't and at least came away with a point.
The Red Wings improved to 12-4-1 under McLellan. The Oilers (32-15-4) had won three in a row and were 11-3-0 in their previous 14. They had won three in a row against the Red Wings and were 5-0-1 in past six meetings between the teams.
Detroit’s 3-2 decision ends the Oilers win streak at three games. The Oilers haven’t been at their best recently, but they have seven of eight possible points over the last four games and remain tied for first in the Pacific with Vegas, who lost in overtime to Columbus.
Forward Dylan Larkin scored & added the shootout winner while goaltender Alex Lyon stopped 45 shots to give Detroit the extra point in a 3-2 win over the Oilers on Thursday at Rogers Place
EDMONTON -- Alex Lyon made 45 saves plus two more in the shootout, and the Detroit Red Wings came back to win 3-2 against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Thursday. Dylan Larkin scored the tying goal in the second period then had the deciding goal in the shootout for the Red Wings (25-21-5), who won their fourth consecutive game.
But the Red Wings rallied, with two goals inside of three minutes. The Oilers missed some glorious chances to re-take that lead after that, including in Overtime.
