The Miami Dolphins have signed Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard James Daniels to a three-year, $24 million contract. Daniels is coming off a torn Achilles which likely depressed his market, but it is still a strong offering for a player who was playing some of his best football before he got injured.

The Dolphins came into free agency in dire need of an upgrade at multiple spots. Assuming Daniels is fully healthy after his torn Achilles, the Dolphins got themselves an excellent player and leader on the offense line and didn't have to overpay to get him.
