One person has been confirmed dead by the Wayne County Coroner after fisherman spotted a boat drifting on Lake Cumberland with the person on board.

According to the coroner, it was a single boat crash with one person on board. He says fishermen found the person on the lake and called 911.

The rescue squad boat serves as a command center, diver headquarters, and communications center when there's an emergency on Lake Cumberland. It also has a fire hose to respond to boat fires.

LAKE CUMBERLAND, Ky. (WKYT) - The Wayne County Coroner says one person is dead after a boat crash on Lake Cumberland. The crash was reported just before 6 p.m. Sunday in the White Oak Creek area.
