Palestinian activist who was detained by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at his Columbia University-owned apartment back in March, sat down with CBS News New York's Dick Brennan for an interview Friday.

After more than three months in detention, Mahmoud Khalil has filed an administrative complaint against the Trump administration seeking $20 million in damages.

His complaint alleges he was falsely imprisoned, maliciously prosecuted and smeared as an anti-Semite. He said he either wants $20 million or an apology from the administration.
