More than 130 people are dead after devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country that began early on the Fourth of July.

The Kerr County Commissioners Court discussed installing early warning sirens as early as 2015, after a deadly flood on Memorial Day. To date, it still has not done so.

With regard to private property that is still overwhelmed with flood debris, the City of Kerrville and Kerr County have issued a joint release saying they are working with state and federal partners to remove and manage debris.

A large percentage of people still unaccounted for were probably visiting the area, Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly said.
