A gas leak in a four-inch main near downtown Georgetown has been fixed and the evacuation order of 388 buildings has been lifted, officials said.

Authorities are evacuating people near downtown Georgetown following a gas leak at Main Street and University Avenue.

Crews have isolated and topped a gas leak in Georgetown that caused traffic delays Wednesday. As of 5 p.m., Atmos Energy crews said the damaged natural gas pipeline in Georgetown is no longer an issue and that evacuation orders have been lifted.
