China warned countries negotiating with the U.S. that they will face retaliation if they strike tariff deals that harm Beijing, further complicating trade talks around the world.

China on Monday warned other countries against making trade deals with the United States to China’s detriment.

The Chinese Commerce Ministry warned that the country will 'firmly oppose any party striking a deal at China's expense and will take countermeasures in a resolute and reciprocal manner'.
