Joann Fabrics and Crafts announced Monday it was closing all its stores nationwide, including 24 locations in Wisconsin.

In a bankruptcy filing this week, the company said it would close about 500 of its more than 800 stores, including 16 in.

All of Joann Inc.'s more than 800 fabric and craft stores nationwide — including all seven in Southeast Wisconsin — will be liquidated and closed this spring following the weekend auction of the Hudson, Ohio-based retailer's assets ordered by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
