PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The coaching carousel for Viktor Hovland is active again. Hovland, the 2023 FedEx Cup champion, has split from Denny Lucas — his swing coach from his college days — and reconnected with Grant Waite during the Arnold Palmer Invitational two weeks ago.

Hovland beat Justin Thomas by a shot Sunday at Innisbrook despite a golf swing that still isn't what it used to be and a self-belief that was in shambles.

Viktor Hovland found a swing that worked when it mattered the most. Hovland won the Valspar Championship with three birdies down the toughest stretch at Innisbrook.
