A Powerball ticket sold in California won $63,554 but just missed the $443 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, March 22, the California Lottery said.

More than 525,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot was last won Jan. 18, when an Oregon player hit the $329 million grand prize, lottery officials said.

A Powerball ticket sold in West Virginia won $1 million but missed the $353 million jackpot, lottery officials said. The ticket matched all five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, March 12, the West Virginia Lottery said.
