By Karol Badohal WARSAW (Reuters) -Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said on Friday a pledge worth 5 billion euros ($5.6 billion) from the European Union to help the country recover from its worst flooding in at least two decades may not be enough to cover its losses.

Poland will ask the European Commission to adjust its recommendations for budget deficit cuts in the coming years due to rebuilding costs after floods hit the country’s southwest, Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski said.

While in Wroclaw, Poland, the President of the European Commission announced billions in aid for countries affected by severe flooding - saying it was "heart-breaking to see the destruction and the devastation through the floods.
