Pakistan's railways suspended all train services on Monday to and from a restive southwestern province where a suicide bombing at a train station over the weekend killed 26 people, including soldiers and railway staff.

At least 20 people have been killed and more than 40 injured in a bomb blast at a train station in Pakistan. The bomb exploded in the southwestern city of Quetta when nearly 100 passengers were waiting for a train to travel to Rawalpindi.

The attack happened when nearly 100 passengers were waiting for a train to travel to the garrison city of Rawalpindi from Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

At least 26 were killed and 62 wounded when an explosion occurred Saturday at 8:45 a.m. local time at the busy Quetta railway station in southwestern Pakistan.

Insurgent violence in Balochistan and in the neighboring province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which both border Afghanistan, has increased significantly in recent years.
