According to a report this month by The Athletic, Jets owner Woody Johnson has made team decisions based on the ratings for players in the “Madden” NFL football games from EA Sports. That report also connected Johnson’s sons, Brick Johnson included, to team decisions.

Mike White played against the Seahawks with broken ribs in 2022. They lost, and in the locker room threw his helmet. Woody Johnson responded by saying “you should throw your helmet, you f—king suck.” The Jets say Woody apologized later on.
