Maryland has elections for governor, Senate and in eight US House districts. None of the races are likely to be competitive, according to ratings from the Cook Political Report.

The Senate on Tuesday passed a state spending plan that includes $1.6 billion in new taxes and fees and $2 billion in cuts.
