Sadly, Marvel Studios has been slow-deathing the live-action series side of the MCU since "The Great Streaming Wars" ended in 2023.

Marvel Studios is officially replacing one of Agents of SHIELD's most beloved characters in the MCU and ending Marvel TV in the process.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which drops in theaters on July 31, 2026, is set to be Bernthal’s first appearance as the Punisher in a Marvel Studios feature film. It also brings him back together with Tom Holland, a longtime friend. Bernthal first teamed up with him earlier on the 2017 film Pilgrimage.

The panel then had its first big surprise, announcing that Ryan Gosling, late of Project Hail Mary, will join the MCU as Ghost Rider. Coming in 2028, the film will be directed by Deadpool & Wolverine’s Shawn Levy from a script by Jonathan Tropper.
