The “Drop Pop” X account, a satirical parody account that looks similar to actual news accounts, is behind the false claims that Lana Del Rey and Lizzo traded insults on TikTok.

A follow-up post alleged that they continued to go back and forth, with a screenshot claiming Lizzo told Lana Del Rey she hopes she gets eaten by an alligator, a reference to the latter's alligator tour guide husband, Jeremy Dufrene.

The original screenshot was posted by a parody pop culture news Twitter account called DropPop, and showed a fake back and forth between Lizzo and Lana Del Rey having a slanging match bit of beef. It read Lizzo saying “I’d love to see you back on the charts”, with the edit showing Lana reply “I would love to see you run a treadmill.”

Lana Del Rey has taken to Instagram to speak out after the photoshopped TikTok comments between herself and Lizzo went viral on social media.

While their alleged exchange sparked online reactions from fans, neither artist actually posted any combative messages.

A post made on X claims that singers Lizzo and Lana Del Rey were engaged in a TikTok feud regarding the 2024 presidential election. Verdict: False Lizzo’s TikTok account does not contain this interaction.
