Cher last appeared as the musical guest on “SNL” just ahead of Thanksgiving 1987, 38 years ago. In the time since, she has returned to “SNL” in a cameo capacity on multiple occasions, most recently in 2011.
While she hasn't performed on the show in almost four decades, she has made cameo appearances over the years. Cher appeared on the show again in 1992, as well as earlier this year, for the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special in February. Many celebrities and cast members have also impersonated the singer on Saturday Night Live.

The "Believe" singer wore a corset-inspired bodice in black and sheer with botanical lace detailing and exposed boning. Cher's look was curated by stylist Patti Wilson.
